Ganguly Was Dropped !! Was it Right ??
Things are quite vague on whether Ganguly didn't play 2nd ODI because of hamstring injury or was he really dropped.
Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni said after the 2nd match “Sourav has a hamstring injury. He was eager to play, but we were not willing to risk a batsman getting injured during the game. Therefore we decided to rest him for this game as well,” Dhoni .
But the BCCI Secretary, Niranjan Shah has clearly stated that Sourav Ganguly was dropped from the third ODI.
However, I would consider this decision as unfair. Because in his last ODI series, against England, Ganguly averaged 35.57, making three half-centuries and being involved with Sachin Tendulkar in three century partnerships.
