Australia's opening batsman Matthew Hayden will miss Australia's limited overs cricket series against Bangladesh starting Saturday because of an Achilles tendon injury. Michael Clarke will lead the team in Ponting's absence. Matthew Hayden has been the most successful opener for the Australian team in the recent past. We wish Hayden to recover soon.

Andrew Symonds : Pakistan Unsafe For The Champions Trophy

Australian world class all rounder Andrew Symonds feels unsafe to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy this September. Symonds said he was yet to be convinced that Pakistan has become a safe place to go and play cricket after the recent suicide blasts in Pakistan. Symonds also added that it is only a game of cricket at the end of the day, and putting yourself in a position where you're not safe is ridiculous. Well, Mr. Symonds if you happen to go there please dont get involved in another case. Thats only an advice.

Aussies Demolish West Indies in the 4th ODI

Australia staged a late innings fightback to seal a one-run victory and a 4-0 one-day series lead against the West Indies on Friday. The West Indies appeared to be cruising towards a victory target of 283 before Brett Lee and Nathan Bracken claimed a combined two for five in the 48th and 49th overs to put on the brakes. That left the unheralded duo of Darren Sammy and Dinesh Ramdin needing eight runs from Shane Watson's final over but they could manage just six and finished on 281 for six.
Opener Chris Gayle blasted four sixes and six boundaries in his 92 and he was supported by Ramnaresh Sarwan (63), with whom he shared a 137-run second wicket partnership, and Shivnarine Chanderpaul (53).
Michael Hussey's sublime diving catch to dismiss debutant Shawn Findlay in the 48th over wrested much of the momentum back Australia's way.
When Chanderpaul fell to Bracken with the last ball of the 48th over, a target that had appeared attainable suddenly appeared distant.
A century partnership between Andrew Symonds and debutant David Hussey had guided Australia to a competitive total.
Symonds (87) and Hussey (50) added 127 runs in their fourth wicket stand.

India Wins Commonwealth Series 2008 Beating Australia by 9 Runs in the 2nd Final

India did it !! and did it in style. India has won the Commonwealth Series 2008 beating Australia in the two consecutive finals on their own ground. In the first final we won by 6 wickets and in the secondy by 9 runs.

Again Sachin's knock of 91 helped India to score 258 runs to which Indian bowlers, specially Praveen Kumar who took 4 wickets, managed to stop the champion Australian for 249 runs leading to a historical win.

Once again Harbhajan Singh took the wicket of his fellow friend Andrew Symonds and in the same over Mathew Hayden got run which proved to be turning point of the game.

Praveen Kumar was declared Man of the Match and Nathan Bracken got player of the series award.

India Beats Australia by 6 Wickets in the 1st ODI Final at Sydney

India defeated Australia in first final at Sydney in 46th over with six wickets and 20 balls to spare. Dhoni scored winning shot to fence 15 runs in 12 balls took India’s score to 242 runs for the loss of four wickets.

Harbhajan Singh got his revenge on top-scorer Matthew Hayden (82) for his "little obnoxious weed" radio comment by dismissing both him and his great mate Andrew Symonds (31) to restrict Australia to 8-239.

Then Sachin Tendulkar, in his farewell appearance at the SCG, scored his first one-day century on Australian soil.

Australia Crushed to defeat by India in 4th ODI of Series

Ishant Sharma and Sreesanth ripped through the heart of Australia's vaunted batting line-up to help India dismiss Australia for 159 off 43.1 overs in the fourth one-day international of the triangular series in Melbourne on Sunday.

Sharma ended with figures of 4-38 while S Sreesanth cleaned up the tail to finish with 3-31.

Even with such a low score, the world champions threatened to snatch an improbable win in their triangular series one-day international. India was 5 down for just 102 runs. But Rohit and captain Dhoni played well in the middle to ensure a five-wicket victory for India.

India were given a target of 500 runs but they never looked even close to it and got all out for mere 161 runs. If Australians are 50 overs match Champions then we are also 20-20 Champions.

India made a great statement by beating the Australians in 20-20 match played yesterday.

Gautam Gambhir's blazing knock of 63 helped India crush Australia by seven wickets in the one-off Twenty20 international at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai on Saturday.

Australia Wins Future Cup Series Beating India in 6th ODI

Andrew Symonds knock once again helped Australians to beat India and with the Australia wins the Future Cup series.

Australian innings ended up scoring 317 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. In reply India could score 299 runs for 7 wickets.

Sachin Sourav gave a good start to India with 100 runs partnership but still not good enough. India gave a good fight this time and it could have been anyone's match before Uttappa got out. After Uttappa's wicket Dhoni got out immediately and all Indian hopes turned into ashes.

India Australia Set For the 7 One Day Match Series

India and Australia both are set for the the first match to be played, of the 7 one-day match series, tomorrow i.e 29th Sep, at Chinnaswamy Stadium Bangalore.

A good series is expected between India, the new 20-20 champions, and Australia, four times World Cup winners.

However, Australian captain Ricky Pointing says that that the pressure will be on the home team because of the Twenty20 triumph.

For Dhoni there are no problems as such and he wouldn't have expected a better debut than this as a captain in the one-dayers. The blend of senior and junior players will do the trick for him but how the new Indian captain marshals his resources will be crucial.

India Beats Australia : Into Finals of ICC Twenty20 World Cup

Hurray!! India hits again and this time against champions Australia.

India won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 188 runs losing 5 wickets. Though the score was good but champions are champions and they could have turn up the game anytime. Nothing is enough for the aussies.

Australia gave a slow start, rather say not a start that was expected from the Austrailian side and they lost couple of early wickets. But Hayden and Symonds fixed their feet on the ground and were taking match away from the Indians. This was the time actually I first thought that India will loose this match. But thanks to Sreesanth who got Hayden out and match started turning towards India once again. Another danger man Andrew Symonds got out soon after Hayden.

30 rums was required in 3 overs but Indian bowlers didn't gave aussies any chance and won by 15 runs.

New Zealand completed a 3-0 whitewash of their one-day series with Australia after a thrilling one-wicket win in Hamilton on Tuesday.

Australia had looked in command after posting a massive 346 for five, but the Kiwis stunned the world champions with the second-highest run-chase in one-day history to win with just three balls to spare.

Ross Taylor made 117 to lead a record run chase as New Zealand beat Australia by five wickets in the second Chappell-Hadlee limited-overs cricket match Sunday to clinch the three-match series 2-0.

After inflicting Australia's heaviest-ever one-day loss, by 10 wickets, in Wellington on Friday, New Zealand chased down the Aussie's total of 336 runs for four wickets Sunday to win with eight balls to spare, achieving the highest successful run chase on New Zealand soil.

The loss dislodged the Australians from the No. 1 spot in world limited-overs cricket, handing the top ranking to South Africa five weeks before the World Cup in the Caribbean.
