India didn't have a good start and lost few early wickets and without Yuvraj Singh it was looking tough for the Indians to reach a decent score to defend themselves. However, parnership between Rohit Sharma and Indian skipper Dhoni helped India to score 153 runs which was a decent total with such a pitch conditions.
In the bowling side Indian get off to a flying start taking few early wickets which build pressure on the African batsman. 126 runs was required by them to qualify for the semi finals but they could not because of which New Zealand qualified for the semi finals.
R.P.Singh bowled tremendously well and took 4 wickets.
